Tim founded Adlestrop Consulting in 2005 and is Joint MD with Charles Magill (see below). With over 20 years legal recruitment experience with both contingent (Daniels Bates) and search (Macildowie Bates) consultancies Tim brings an approach, knowledge and a maturity to the market not often seen outside of London. With an unrivalled passion and a vision to deliver outstanding recruitment services – from both the clients and candidates perspective he is your perfect 'partner' when it comes to discussions and decisions about recruitment and the legal market in general.

Charles is Joint MD at Adlestrop and joined the business in 2008. He is an experienced recruitment specialist with over 8 years experience gained in niche owner-managed and multi-national recruitment businesses across the professional services and Industry and commerce sectors on a national basis. A graduate in Business Studies and HR management Charles initially joined Enterprise Rent a Car on their graduate management scheme, before being recruited by Macildowie Associates in 2000 as an accountancy recruiter to help establish the Birmingham Office. Charles was headhunted by Andrew Farr Associates (AFA) in 2005 to establish and set up an accountancy public practice and banking division on a national basis. Following AFA’s takeover by Martin Ward Anderson Charles was responsible for all accountancy recruitment in the Midlands area.

John is our Non-Executive Chairman. He retired from Wragge & Co in 2004 and has subsequently developed business and charitable interests.

John became a Partner in Wragge & Co aged 26, and progressed to lead first the firm’s Real Estate Group and then its Corporate Group, he was elected to run the firm during the severe recession of 1990/91. During his twelve years as Senior Partner, the firm grew from 250 people to over 1000 in its Birmingham office, developed a presence in London, an international practice, and grew its turnover from £13M to over £80M. In 2003, he was voted UK Lawyer of The Year for his “integral role in the transformation of Wragge & Co from a provincial Birmingham firm into a top national practice with an enviable FTSE 100 client base. This was a ten year odyssey that transformed the stature of the non-London UK legal market”. He has also been awarded only the second Lifetime Achievement Award by Birmingham Law Society and was the West Midlands Businessman of the Year in 2004. .

Liann has recently graduated from Birmingham City University with a first class degree in Computing, Business, E-Systems and Technology with Multimedia. In 2007 Liann initially joined Lloyds TSB working as a Transition Manager, within Corporate Banking for her Industrial placement year at University, before being recruited by Electronic Business Systems to help create and develop online marketing activities. Since graduating Liann has been working as a Project Manager for Blue Box Software managing their customer accounts,developing and maintaining websites as well as being involved with clients marketing activities.
